Fleet Maintenance Management

Our maintenance practices are second to none. We conduct an A, B and C service schedule on each vehicle. This involves a weekly service, a scheduled kilometre service and a scheduled engine hour service.

Additionally we spend 80 hours a week detailing and polishing the vehicles during which close inspections are done over every surface and fitting. This is part of our preventative maintenance regime. Additional checks are done daily prior to departure.

Our vehicles are all late model state of the art equipment specially engineered for high load conditions. Each prime mover complies with either ADR80-01 or ADR80-02 emission levels and ADR standards.

We maintain our vehicles to a show room standard.

We conduct daily checks for each vehicle before departure.

We have a four tier personal checking system for fault recording and reporting involving supervisors, drivers, managers and detailers. Fault reports are recorded and tracked through our Translogix system in accordance with NHVAS management standards.

Fault repairs are checked internally by the Workshop Supervisor at our fully equipped workshops. Reports on completed repairs go to the supervisor.

Our maintenance schedules and methods include thorough detailed inspection during weekly cleaning and polishing and detailed manufacturer recommended service intervals.

Maintenance and servicing is recorded in the workshop on job cards which is transcribed onto each vehicle’s electronic record in Translogix. Supervisors reports and digital vehicle logs are cross referenced by project codes and stored securely in the depot for back up and independent annual auditing.

The Workshop Manager ensures repairs are carried out and inspected. The Workshop Manager’s duties are clearly set out in writing detailing expected schedules to be adhered to. The Workshop Manager is accountable to the Auditor and the Project Performance Reporting Manager.

The Project Performance Reporting Manager is in charge of verifying that all results and activities comply with the system’s policies, procedures and instructions.

Training and education in maintenance is an on-going company wide activity and seen as a shared responsibility across all staff.
